Upset the Fruit Basket

Get ready

1. Set chairs in a large circle, one fewer than the number of children.
2. Everyone sits facing the middle, with one child left standing in the center.
3. Give each child a fruit: banana, orange, or apple.

How to play

1. The child in the middle calls out one of the fruits.
2. Everyone who is that fruit gets up and moves to an empty chair across the circle.
3. The caller also tries to grab an empty seat.
4. Whoever is left without a chair is the new caller.
5. At any time, the caller can shout “Upset the fruit basket!” and everyone must find a new seat.

Tips & variations

• The game doesn't have one winner. Stop whenever you're ready.
• Use the Fruit of the Spirit as the fruit names (love, joy, peace...).
