Beat That!

Get ready

1. Split into two teams.
2. Decide how many rolls each team gets.

How to play

1. Roll the dice and arrange them to make the biggest number you can. A 4 and a 6 makes 64. With three dice, a 3, 5, and 2 makes 532.
2. Write down your number, pass the dice, and challenge the next team to “Beat That!”
3. Take turns between teams until everyone has rolled.
4. Add up each team's numbers. The highest total wins the round.

Tips & variations

• For a change, try to make the smallest number possible.
• With younger kids, explain your thinking out loud and have them do the same. It's great place-value practice.
